Health Tips for Couples to Live LongSeptember 18, 2022
Living longer is no longer a mystery. Advances in modern medicine, along with alternative treatment methods such as chiropractic, acupuncture, homeopathy, and naturopathic medicine have doubled the number of years each of us can expect to live happy life with health tips for couples..
Surgery has improved, too, and today’s microsurgical techniques and laser robotics have replaced the more barbaric cutting and suturing methods we endured only a few decades ago when internal bleeding, infection, organ loss, massive scarring, and loss of life were all too common
I was born in 1952, and I can expect to live into my late 70s. When I was a young boy, life expectancy was in the high sixties…and my father complied with his death at age 69. That’s still a huge improvement over the life he had at the turn of the 20th century, however, when life expectancy hovered around The low to mid forties, or the Middle Ages when a 35-year-old was considered very old! Although wars and accidents still kill people, improvements such as sanitation, antibiotics, and greater knowledge of body functions and physiology have all contributed to a longer life and happier lives.
This is all happy news, but how does it all relate to your desire to live a longer and happy life? The good news based on statistics can be hollow when you are the one with a health problem. What if — despite all your healthy eating and attempts to eat right and exercise — you experience a loss of energy, a mysterious illness, joint pain, heart palpitations, sudden obesity or weight loss that even your doctor can’t explain?
You are in good health
Here are some healthy suggestions for what I prescribe to my patients based on the success of my health regimen:
Drink plenty of fluids
Yes, I know… your grandmother gave you this advice years ago… and it still works. The truth is that every American is either dehydrated or seriously dehydrated. The results of this condition are: wrinkled skin, headache, low energy, food or sweet cravings, obesity, irritability and malaise.
To avoid dehydration, you should drink two types of fluids. The first of course is water – at least 6-8 glasses a day.
The second type of liquid is what I lovingly refer to as a “green drink.” This fluid will make your blood alkaline and rebuild what author and health expert Dr. David Wright calls your “alkaline reserves” that were depleted in the late thirties or early forties. Loss of alkalosis, in turn, contributes to a range of diseases and impairments that can take years or decades to develop, such as hypothyroidism, hair loss, diabetes, cancer, psoriasis, arthritis, joint weakness, bone loss, and hearing or vision loss. Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and any disease or deficiency caused by a lack of enzymes, minerals and other nutrients needed by the body. Sounds like a lot? that it.
The “green drink” can come in many different forms. I use a product called Perfect Food that comes in a plastic box from health food stores or online suppliers, and can be mixed with water (1 scoop per cup) to give you a massive boost. If you have more time, try juicing fruits and vegetables every day to give you a more healthy boost. There are books written on the subject of the era, so I won’t cover them here. I urge you to do something, though, to get that “green drink” in you every day. But don’t forget to read Better lifestyle tips!
I used to screw up the whole idea of green liquids until I heard Tony Robbins on one of his nutritional CDs challenge me to try it for 7 days. I did, and never came back! Since that day in 2008, I’ve been carrying the green gallon container with me everywhere I go! Anytime I start feeling bad, I realize I have failed…so I immediately start again.
